Do I need 3D makeup?

If you’ve spent any time on social media lately, you’ve probably heard the term 3D Makeup. But what is it? And do you even need it?

The answer is YES you need it!

For our whole lives, we’ve been told to put a layer of foundation on our faces. Then contour for dimension. Then blush. Now we have three layers of makeup on!

So we make our face flat and two-dimensional, then try to add shape after the fact.

What is 3D Makeup?

Enter Seint 3D Foundation! (Often misspelled as Saint) Seint foundation is made up of a few different colors that you apply to strategic places on your face. These different colors work together to give shape and dimension to your face, accentuating the shadows and highlights you already have. The contour and highlight and cheek colors ARE your foundation, so they give coverage AND dimension- in ONE LAYER.

FIRST- choose your highlight color (which is what most people consider to be their foundation color). You only NEED one highlight color, but most people like to have two or more- one for your main color, one slightly lighter to brighten under your eyes, and one darker color to camouflage and blemishes, redness, or dark spots.

NEXT- choose your contour color. This is the color that adds dimension to your face. This is NOT the same thing as bronzer. Contours are more ashy in color, in order to replicate a shadow.

THEN- pick your Lip + Cheek color. That’s right, with Seint the Cheek colors do double duty as Lip colors. This is where you can let your style shine! You can have a more sheer glossy color, or a darker matte one. You can go super bold or stay neutral.

How to use 3D makeup?

To use 3D makeup, you start with your contour color, to define those areas. Then you apply your highlight colors, followed by your cheek color. If desired, you can finish up with an Illuminator to add some sheen or sparkle to the high points of your face. It’s gorgeous! See picture above- pin so you can remember it later!

Where to get 3D makeup?

The easiest way to get Seint’s 3D Foundation is to buy a Collection- these are basically starter sets curated by Seint. You get everything you need to get started, including a brush, and each collection is discounted! The larger the Collection, the larger the discount.

Seint very rarely has sales, so purchasing a collection is a perfect way to get started at a discount!

To find your perfect collection, just decide if you want the Collection with 4, 8, or 12 tins of color. Then click on FIND YOUR SHADES and find the pictures that look MOST like your skin color.

The collections come with a palette to hold your tins, and they are refillable, so when you run out of one color, just purchase and pop in a new one!
