Most of the recipes you find online for hamburger soup are actually cheeseburger soup- which sounds delicious, but most of my family has to eat dairy free. So I came up with this super easy, super delicious hamburger soup that can be customized with different toppings, shredded cheese, or shredded non-dairy cheese alternatives.

It’s one of my kids’ favorite meals, and it’s always a crowd-pleaser! My favorite part? It comes together really fast, and the leftovers are perfect for lunch! This soup can also be cooked in the slow-cooker to let it simmer all day!

It may sound silly, but I think this soup tastes SO much better in a cast iron stock pot- I use THIS ONE. If you don’t have one, you need one!

Hamburger Soup Ingredients:

  1. Ground Beef
  2. Chopped onion
  3. Bagged frozen mixed vegetables
  4. Tomato Sauce or V8
  5. Worcestershire Sauce
  6. Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos
  7. Garlic Powder
  8. A1 Sauce
  9. Salt and Pepper
  10. Ketchup
  11. Yellow Mustard
  12. Toppings- mustard, pickles, banana peppers, jalapenos, diced onions, cheese, sriracha, etc.

Directions:

Super simple! Just brown the ground beef, add in the onions and cook until soft. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer until all bubbly and the frozen veggies are cooked through. If you’re using the slow cooker, just brown the meat first, and dump the rest in and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8.  Detailed instructions below!

The best part about this recipe- it is GLUTEN FREE, SOY FREE (if you use coconut aminos), & DAIRY FREE (unless you add cheese at the end)!

This recipe also freezes really well, so I always make a double batch!

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a fancy food blogger. I am a beauty and homeschool blogger! But I know my readers love my easy family recipes. That said, I hardly ever measure ingredients when I cook, so I do my best to get super accurate when I type up these recipes for you. Most of my ingredients should probably just say “to taste,” but the recipe makes me put exact amounts- so………there ya go!
